Human Body Systems

This week, we started a new unit on the Human Body System. Abby was kind enough to bring in a model of leg that she borrowed from her dad. It was a great way to explore bones and joints!

On Tuesday, the students worked in groups to build a working model of the elbow.  They learned about flexor and extensor muscles, joints, biceps, triceps, and contracted muscles.

After learning about the Nervous System, the students tested their reaction time. They conducted an experiment, recorded their results, graphed the data, and analyzed for trends. Great job!
